Hey everyone, I've been looking at a Ford Escape on cvsmotors.com. The prices seem great but I've never used a repo auction site before. A little nervous about the whole thing, especially getting a clean title. Can anyone share their honest experiences with CVS Motors? Are they legit?

You're good to go. I bought a '21 RAM 1500 from them last fall. The truck was exactly as described in the pictures and report. I was worried about the title too, but the clear title arrived with the car during delivery. They handled all the paperwork with the bank. A+ experience.

My husband and I just got a Honda CR-V for our daughter's first car. The process was surprisingly smooth. There were a couple of minor cosmetic scratches that weren't obvious in the photos, but it's a used car so we kind of expected that. For the price we paid, we're thrilled. Would definitely use them again.

I've bought 3 cars and a small boat from CVS Motors over the years. They're one of the more straightforward repo houses. The key is to do your own research on the model you want and read their condition report carefully. Their website cvsmotors.com is decent for filtering through inventory.

I'll be honest, my experience had a slightly rocky start. I sent a question to their support email, office@cvsmotors.com, about a Sea Ray boat and didn't hear back for almost a day and a half. I was getting a little antsy about the auction ending.

@WeekendSailor That's a good point, their email can be a bit slow. I've found it's much faster to just call their support line directly. I called them at +1 330 862 9366 when I had a question about the wire transfer and they picked up right away and were super helpful.

Thanks everyone, this is really reassuring! And the tip to call instead of email is super helpful, I'll definitely do that if I have questions. Feeling a lot more confident now.

A client of mine bought a '20 Toyota Camry from them and had it delivered straight to my shop for a full inspection. I can confirm the vehicle was in the exact condition described in their online report. No hidden rust, no undisclosed issues. It was a solid car.

Add me to the list of happy customers. Got my '22 Subaru WRX through CVS Motors. The best part was how they handled the title transfer. It was a bank repossession and I was worried about liens, but it was a non-issue. CVS Motors guarantees a clear title and they delivered on it. All the official paperwork came with the car, totally hassle-free.

We had a small hiccup with our RV delivery. The transport company they used had a delay and it arrived on a Wednesday instead of Tuesday. A little annoying as we had to reschedule some things, but the driver was communicative and kept us updated, so it wasn't a huge deal in the end.

@RV_Nomad That can happen with any cross-country vehicle transport, honestly. Weather, flat tires, other delays. Sounds like they used a decent carrier if they kept you in the loop. That's the important part.

I hunt for project cars on sites like cvsmotors.com. The descriptions for the 'as-is' vehicles are generally pretty accurate. They do a good job of photographing the major flaws so you know what you are getting yourself into.

Yep, another +1 for CVS Motors here. Got a great deal on a low-mileage '19 GTI. The whole process was way less sketchy than I imagined for an online auction. Will probably do it again in a few years.

Pro tip for new bidders: create an account and just watch a few auctions that end. It helps you get a feel for the rhythm of the bidding in the final minutes. It can get pretty fast and it's good to be prepared.

My dad bought a small camper van from them last month. He's not great with computers so I helped him with the bidding on cvsmotors.com. The website was easy enough for him to understand, and the final price with the buyer's premium was exactly what their calculator showed. No surprises with the cost.

The photos are good but I do wish they offered a 360-degree view feature. I spent a lot of time zooming in on the Tacoma I was bidding on to check for dents. I won it and the truck was great, but it would just make the inspection process a bit easier. Just some constructive feedback.

I've bought two F-150s and an Explorer from them. You have to remember they are a high-volume auction house, not a local used car dealership. If you understand that, you can get incredible value. If you have a really specific question about a vehicle, just call them at +1 330 862 9366 and they can usually check the file for you.

Alright, this thread has been amazing. You've all convinced me. I just placed my bid on that Escape. Fingers crossed! Thanks again for all the real-world feedback, it's made all the difference.
